Cool matter in ice
This photo was taken last month just off the Appalachian Trail south of Bear's Den. The size limitations of this image can't begin to show some of the cool details contained within it. Photoshop was used to some of the finer details in the second image.
I have a thing for frozen plant matter in chilly streams. Not only are the combination of colors unique to this type of scene, but flow is captured in time. Rambling matter suspended in wait until the next melt.
