Doe stuck in gaze
While I keep striving for the perfect deer photo, this one will have to do. I probably have a few hundred bad deer shots including blurry white tails streaking across the frame, glowing green eyes from flashes and tons of deer butt (running away). Why do they pose when I'm driving and flee like the wind when I'm hiking?

I love this picture. Deer are hard to capture and this is nature at it's best!
I have a ton of great deer photos, but they all seem to have crazy looking eyes!
Thanks for stopping by my site - I've never heard of Grouphug, I'll have to check that out. My stuff is 100% original - that's why it's so crazy!
How'd you find me?
There must be some kind of Gary Larson-esque reason for what deer pontificate while they have those quick, yet sudden gazes that keeps their expression fixed into a stereotype of a perpetual stop-motion look of perpetual bewilderment while life seems to move on. Deer are very smart - in the wild. But now, they are all seeming to opt out - they can no longer find a place to roam. Loudoun County is becoming a pool of McMansions. They are soon to be evicted from their own environment. Hence, the look on their face. It's called fear.
