Creepy tree
This creepy tree is located south of Purcellville. I think it resents being surrounded by new mammoth houses. It looks like it nearly died years ago, perhaps due to lightning.
Update Jan 2011 - A neighborhood now sits on this very spot.

Creepy to some but so facinating to me. If you'd post camera, lens, film, digital, anything about the print it would be oh so helpful to novices like me.
As always, thanks for your kind comments! I will take your advice, see next post.
hey!
i recently moved from fredericksburg va and lived there on a 130 acre farm (17 miles of wood and pasture animal free) that is open year round to the public for biking, hiking etc. you should stop by and take some nature or tree shots of the place. its owned by my family and is quite beautiful this time of year.we dont have the equiptment to get any good shots and its a pity:)
